Dan Rahko

Founder and CEO

Dan Rahko is the founder and CEO of SBT Partners. His career of over 20 years in information technology began as a service technician for a leading Boston VAR. He progressed rapidly into systems engineering attaining multiple Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and HP certifications along the way. His customer relationship management skills ultimately led to a transition into sales where he attained President’s Club for 6 consecutive years. He spearheaded the company’s successful entry into managed services which later led to the VAR component of the business being sold off. Within the new managed services company he was offered an ownership stake. His efforts as an innovator in managed services delivery resulted in 90+% of the company’s revenue base. The company was ultimately sold.

Dan started SBT Partners in 2009 in Charlotte. His goal was to take what he had learned in Boston and apply it to this market while also retaining accounts that he had relationships with in Boston. He believed the future of managed services, particularly related to the small and midsized (SMB) market, required a change in the traditional model of the highly capitalized data center approach to a more customer focused, partner based entity. The traditional MSP model required extensive overhead and infrastructure costs resulting in higher priced services. He formed alliances with successful companies with well established managed services infrastructures paying them for their service while he concentrated exclusively on client needs. This consultative approach turned out to be a widely accepted new model that brings managed services to clients quickly and efficiently within their price and quality of service thresholds. SBT Partners’ invests in the client relationship offering 30 day release from contracts if the services fail to perform to their expectations. Dan’s investment is and will continue to be in people. He has hired the best available talent to ensure each client has faith and confidence in his company. As the market and services models change, SBT Partners can quickly and cost effectively adapt.
