Modern Workplace Support Technician

This is a work-from-home role, but candidates must be local to one of the three locations listed below.  You will need to be dispatched onsite to clients when issues cannot be resolved remotely.

  • Have fantastic customer service skills with all client interactions.
  • Record all incidents in the service desk management platform.
  • Maintain consistent communication with all parties.
  • Track all time worked to appropriate tickets in Autotask.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting using our RMM tools.
  • Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
  • Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems.
  • Escalate all incidents as necessary.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Ability to learn new skills and absorb\comprehend technical information.
  • Participation in on-call rotation

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of work experience with help desk support or a similar role
  • Hands-on experience with setting up and troubleshooting Windows/Mac OS/ environments (Mostly Windows)
  • Ability to add \ disable users to Active Directory
  • Office 365 Admin Experience
  • Exchange Online – Add \ Remove Users
  • Working knowledge of computer peripherals, like printers and scanners
  • Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new software and systems as needed.
  • Customer-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • A home office where you can work without interruptions.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • All internal calls are made over Microsoft Teams Video calls, and the candidate is expected to be dressed and ready for a video call during all working hours.
  • Regular working hours would be 8am-5pm EST
  • This is a remote from-home job, but due to the nature of the working help desk, the individual is expected to be at their desk the entire working day, except for lunch breaks.
  • Industry certifications are a plus but not required.
